Service was slow, they weren’t as friendly, and they didn’t check in with us to see how we were doing in the middle of our meal. I don’t always expect these…. but when you’re paying for service with the price, you expect more. They didn’t “serve” the food.. but basically just dropped off the dishes and left. I also remember paying at the counter instead of them bringing my check. Definitely not worth the price and NOT the experience you expect at a five star hotel.
Both the quality and service from the staff were lousy considering its price and its location in a 5-star hotel.
We stayed at intercontinental coex and had the opportunity to eat live in the asian sushi bar. can't say enough good things. it was absolutely the best sushi we ever had. chef lee, dong ki was kind to explain every court. many thanks for a great meal!
Asian restaurant serving Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and Arabic food. I read good reviews about it, so decided to go for dinner. They have signature set menus for each cuisine, as well as a la Carte. I went with the Indian set menu as the others required a minimum order of two. (On a scale of 5) Decor- 5* Presentation 5* 1. Tawa fish- delicious but a bit oily 4* 2. Soup- way too spicy for a tomato shorba 2* 3. Shami kabab- kababs were delicious but they forgot to put mint chutney on the plate 3* 4. Butter chicken- a little too sweet for my liking but not bad overall 3* 5. Gajar ka halwa- halwa was completely cold. Not appetizing at all 1*
Tl;dr Average to nice food but hospitality is substandard. It 's quite a unique place that it offers 5 different kind of cuisine and even audaciously mixes dishes from each cuisine into a course menu offering. I tried the lunch Asian course (80,000KRW). The sashimi was average, soup was somewhat too plain. Tiger prawns and the chicken curry with naan was absolutely amazing. The reason I 'm only giving it 2 stars is staff didn 't bother to explain any dishes to detail. When you pay 80 bucks for a meal you sort of expect the waiter to go through each dish in detail and help me understand my overpriced meal but here, all i got was it 's sashimi , it 's prawns with mild frustration. Seriously when I asked what kind of curry my dish was, I got it 's chicken curry .... unacceptable.
