The Rivière Habitat - Serampore

This is a unique floating restaurant on the Strand in Chandannagar. It boasts a beautiful ambiance and presentation, deserving 5 stars. The atmosphere is quite posh and upscale. However, the food was a letdown. I tried the Fish Orly and Macaroni Alfredo. The portions were small, especially considering the price, and the taste was average. The Fish Orly tasted similar to what one might find at a wedding stall, and the pasta had an unpleasant aftertaste. Therefore, despite the stunning ambiance and viral-worthy presentation, the food experience was disappointing. It's important to note that a service charge is automatically added to the bill, which is optional in India. You can request the restaurant to remove it if you wish.
