Tasca do Janeca - SERRA DA PESCARIA

We 'found ' Tasca do Janeca last year following a recommendation and it has quickly become our favourite restaurant in and around Sao Martinho do Porto where we stay. It is a real 'local ' restaurant with a very traditional atmosphere. It 's always busy but the small...kitchen is incredibly efficient as are the front of house staff. The food is just superb and incredibly consistent, the specials are amazing and value for money is off the scale. Don 't expect good English but that adds to the fun in communicating! The staff are very friendly and always helpful We can 't wait to go back again next year.

Simple put, one of the nicest and friendly places I know for a casual meal. Arrived unexpectedly late during weekday and the chef didn't let me go without providing a meal. Always enjoy eating here. Beware during summer and weekend always crowded.
