The roast meals were delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were very friendly. The homemade sausage meat stuffing was the best I have ever had in any pub or restaurant. We returned during the week and enjoyed burgers and pies in the garden, which were just as delicious as the roasts. The pub's interior is charming and it is clear that the owners take pride in the establishment, with new buildings outside to accommodate customers.
We visited this restaurant today as a convenient meeting point for our family, located halfway between Essex and East Sussex. The food was absolutely wonderful! The portions were enormous, the roast potatoes were perfect, and there was a good variety of vegetables, including cauliflower cheese and sausage stuffing balls. We ordered various roast meats, including beef, chicken, and lamb shank, as well as kids nuggets. Everything was cooked to perfection, although we did have an issue with one of the beef cuts. However, Katy graciously compensated us, making our overall experience even better. I wholeheartedly recommend this pub and its delicious food, and we are already considering coming back for a pre-Christmas family meal. The restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor seating area, which was made even better by the winter sunshine.
I had an excellent experience at the Bull. The staff was amazing and the food was great. They were so friendly and helpful. The garden was beautiful and the view was stunning.
Just attended The Bull on their Pizza Night now cooked by Katy the licensee. They used to have someone come in to cook them. Have to say it was absolutely awesome. I had the extra meaty, our son the barbecue chicken with extra mushrooms and my mother-in-law the Hawaiian. Washed down by a couple of pints of Tribute. Great evening.
This is a lovely pub with a friendly atmosphere and a great menu. We enjoyed a Ploughman's lunch with delicious ham/gammon and cheese with a generous selection of accompaniments and salad. The beer went down a treat (we tried the Kentish IPA) on a warm summer's day and enjoyed the view. A real treat! We will definitely be back.
