Good lamb roast with all trimmings just like home cooking and reasonably priced £14.00 Vegetarian option available. Good old tradition puds with choice of cream, custard or ice cream . Dont be out off seeing reserved notices on the table speak to bar staff and they will find a table for you . Lovely friendly staff . Will be back !!
Working close by popped in for lunch . Fish and chips and 3 beef burger . Absolutely the best fish and chips to ever touch my mouth . Lovely friendly pub could not fault .
The menu looked alright, but several options were off. That 's ok it happens. But what did arrive was just horrible. The landlord was rude when I tried to politely talk about the cold rubbery meat. A real shame, because a really characterful pub with loads of potential. Shame about the rude landlord who couldn 't care less.
We had a lovely morning at Chartwell and then went to the **** Inn for lunch. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly attentive. We sat outside at the tables in front of the pub, which was a very pretty space, and were served promptly. Fresh flowers in the ladies was a lovely touch.
The service at this restaurant is fantastic. The bar staff is very friendly and the beer and food are both delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of the food. Overall, a great value for delicious food!
