We were warmly welcomed by two lovely ladies from the moment we entered. They were very polite and engaging, and served us the most delightful afternoon tea we have ever had. The service was impeccable, and the scones and teas were delicious. We truly enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to returning. Thank you for making our afternoon so enjoyable.
This is a fantastic and welcoming coffee spot for cyclists, offering a lovely view of the Weald of Kent. It's the perfect place to stop and recharge during a ride. It's definitely worth the uphill climb to Ide Hill to treat yourself to some delicious coffee and cake. We opted to bike up Ide Hill to steer clear of the unkind and conceited Pronto Bistro in Four Elms, which is more like a low-quality cafe than a bistro. Instead, we recommend visiting the Hill Community Shop for a much more pleasant experience.
Amazing butcher and shop. Everyone there is so friendly and there is a fantastic selection. I will definitely be coming back. Outstanding.
This village shop is run by friendly local members of the community and sells a range of produce such as local meats, vegetables, crafts etc. It is also a post office which is ideal to avoid having to go into the busy towns of either Sevenoaks or Edenbridge
I was horrified to witness a cyclist verbally abusing staff at the Ide Hill shop on Sunday. He asked if his water bottle could be filled up with water and the girls explained that because of COVID they were unable to do it. His temper flared immediately and accused the shop of making money from the situation! The girls did explain that there were bottles of cold water in the fridge or he could go into the gents and fill up his water bottle there. The verbal abuse continued as he left the shop. There was another cyclist outside who asked him not to speak to the girls so rudely. He then turned on the cyclist shouting and swearing at him. I have always been welcomed at IDE Hill shop. The staff are always polite and helpful. Please, please watch your manners (and language) towards the staff and remember these wonderful people give up their free time for us. THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS that have done an amazing job all through this terrible pandemic making sure that we have had a well stocked community shop. Many thanks from a very appreciative customer. Well done to all of you.
