The Longhouse - Sevenoaks

I went to get takeout crispy duck. It was awful. The duck was old, dry, and cut into small pieces because it was so dry it couldn't be shredded. The cucumber and onion were not fresh. The pancakes seemed like they were heated in a microwave from a plastic bag. The man at the front desk was too busy on his phone and didn't care about the customers. The staff seemed scared and uncomfortable. The atmosphere was terrible, and the food was terrible. Stay away from this place.

We were disappointed with our recent takeaway experience at this restaurant. The chicken with cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce was overly sweet, and the chicken curry was also sweeter than expected. This was disappointing for us because we have dined in at this restaurant and ordered takeout in the past, and the food has always been decent.

This used to be a very nice restaurant to dine in but maybe not so good now. Probably best to just have the takeaway option as the food is still very good. We opted to go out for a quick mid week meal only to have drilling works going on within the restaurant which we weren’t made aware of when shown to our table. The guy doing the work dropped all his tools on the floor in the middle of the restaurant whilst we were eating as they fell through the middle of a cardboard box he was carrying them in sending them flying in all directions under the table. We then had to sit through two arguments with customers over telephone orders relating to overcharging and refunds. The guy who was put in charge to manage clearly didn’t have a clue what he was doing. The ambience and detail to service is sadly lacking here now. The last time we came there was no attention to small things like cleaning the table between courses. This time it was slightly chaotic. No restful relaxing meal. We ate our meal and left promptly.

A busy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. A wide selection of dishes on the menu cooked to perfection and the portion size was large. Overall a great experience, we will definitely be back!

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are excellent. The staff, especially our waitress Francesca, are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and I will definitely be returning.
