Applebee's - Sevierville

Applebees, What can I say that hasn't been said before about them. Visited today at lunch time, was nice and quiet, I guess we were there before the lunchtime rush. Service was quick food was good, Two burgers fries and onion rings as an appetizer... $22. Can't beat that. Our server was Joshua nice and pleasant guy.

I live nearby and went out for a bite to eat with my boyfriend. He ordered a chicken tender platter with honey mustard, but it arrived with barbecue sauce all over the fries, which clearly indicated that they hadn't changed their gloves. The steak was incredibly chewy; it took me 10 minutes to get through just one piece. Our waiter was very friendly, but barely checked on us, so my salad ended up getting soggy while I waited for extra ranch dressing since they only provided a small cup for such a large salad. Overall, the place looked dirty and unsanitary.

It was 4:00 pm and we waited for the hostess to seat us, we waited a little longer. Is this a bad omen , I asked. But the waitress arrived and we were seated. She was friendly and efficient. She brought our drinks, took our order and checked on us. Meals were served and all of them were hearty and delicious. The waitress even arranged for a brownie for my mom 's birthday. We left full and content. Fortunately, the initial wait was not a bad omen because our waitress Mary saved the day!

Went here on a Sunday night around 5 pm and there were about 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. We told the host we were a party of 10 but could be separated into two tables. The host then says he needs to check with the waiters and comes back to say it 'll be a 15-20 minute wait. Wait for what? There was absolutely no one there so we ended up leaving. Wouldn 't recommend for a party bigger than 4 during their dinner rush .

My soup was served cold, and by the time it was finally returned hot, my main course was already being delivered to the table. I ended up canceling the soup. My wife ordered her steak well done, but it arrived rare. The manager had to come out to address the mistake, which took five minutes, and then it took another fifteen minutes to reheat the same steak and bring it back, along with new mashed potatoes and broccoli. As a result, I finished my entire meal before my wife even got to try her steak. Additionally, I didn't receive the $5.00 return card that was promised in the advertisement on their website. Being a local rather than a tourist, I found this particularly disappointing. There was no discount, dessert, or even an apology from the manager. When the cook eventually delivered the steak to our table, the next time I saw the waitress, she handed me the check for the full amount. I paid the bill and left a tip, but overall, it was not a pleasant experience watching each other eat without being able to enjoy our meals together.
