Today I visited payne’s rise as part of the shortest lunch of the yarra valley. a breathtaking weingut in the most beautiful environment. normally pizza at the weekend, or st ali coffee and stockplates, at this opportunity they had catering before place and young it was delicious. one of the most beautiful wineries I visited. pop past for a walk through their gardens and amazing buildings and stay to taste the wine and share some food.

We visited as part of The Shortest Lunch. The venue is a beautiful mix of old and new buildings with a stunning view. There is a strong family feel including a very friendly cat and dog) coupled with slick service. The live music and artist demonstrations were a great addition to the experience. We had a mushroom and gruyere pie $7) as part of the 3-item limited menu, which was vey tasty. As always, the wine was top-class. Will definitely be back!
