It is located on Route 3 and Chippewa Lake Road in Medina County. There is plenty of parking, but be prepared to get inside quickly or the marshy sewer smell will gag you. We are not quite sure why the owners never did anything to mitigate it, but it has been an issue for years! We chose to sit in the bar because of the ambiance was more comfortable. The only thing I didn 't like about the room was the booth seating. I would like to suggest management install moveable tables because it was a tight fit for me, so much so, I couldn 't place my napkin! Our waiter greeted us and asked if we knew what the specials were for the evening? My wife said she would like to hear the list, but only if he slowed down his talking. He didn 't. Then we both ordered water and my wife got a beer. They arrived promptly, but my wife 's drink was in a bottle, and she had to ask for a glass! We both got burgers, and they were excellent; Rose Hill always has good food, and is a refreshing change from the standard fare in the area. Overall, we were very happy with our meal and service, although my wife felt the waiter was trying to free up the table.
We have a cottage at Chippewa lake for years my uncle has said GO DOWN THE STREET FOR FINE DINING. Voila the Rose Hill did not disappoint! Wonderful sirloin special! My brother had the chicken Marsala, both very good. Looks like a restaurant from the bygone era but not old musty by any means! Clean modern new but in the old style! I would come back any time. What a nice place. Well done.
We found this gem of a restaurant as we were seeking a mid point to meet with family from Columbus. We had always gone to the Oaks on Chippewa Lake which Is fabulous. This place was equally as good. Food could not have been better. We had burgers and homemade chips, grilled Caesar salad with salmon and appetizers. All delicious and perfect sized portions. The service was also excellent. We sat outside on the patio. Another great dining experience. We went for lunch but the bar area looked like a perfect meeting place for an evening get together. The dinning room was very nicely situated too if you prefer indoor seating. Thanks for offering an enjoyable Saturday afternoon get together Rose Hill!
Recommended by hotel clerk and didn't disappoint, sat out on the very nice deck. The staff was very attentive. We started with the French Onion soup and it was fantastic. Plenty of sweet onion cooked perfectly, broth was flavorful and cheese was incredible. It was $3 off burgers night and I tried a burger with bacon and cheese and a mound of onion rings, it was cooked perfectly and was one of the better burgers I have had in a long time. My wife had the pirogies and loved them. A very pleasant evening and a great value!
For my husband and I, it was our 1st time at Rosehill. The restaurant itself is lovely. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. Dinner portions were huge. As to my dinner ... I ordered the pork schnitzel. Initial reaction was, 'Wow it 's gigantic, and smells good '. Taste was a different story. It was wafer-paper thin ... and dry, and the breading was over-salted in places. My suggestion would be mainly to make it less enormous and have it a little thicker so it 's moister (yes I know schnitzel is supposed to be pounded, but! . My dinner was the exception to an otherwise very nice meal. I ordered the berry Napoleon for dessert and it was superb!
