Boombai Thai - Seward

I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. We ordered summer rolls to start, and they turned out to be essentially a block of tofu with some lettuce and noodles—totally lacking flavor. I had the shrimp pad Thai, and it was so unappetizing that I couldn't finish it; the noodles were mushy and it tasted strangely like ketchup. My husband ordered a $27 vun sen, which might be acceptable if you really enjoy garlic. Overall, I found it overpriced and noticed that the tables were a bit greasy.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with the Thai food in Seward, Alaska. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and the flavors were incredibly authentic. The fresh summer rolls came with a delightful sweet and sour sauce mixed with crunchy peanuts—truly irresistible! The Tom Yum soup was perfectly balanced with its sour and spicy notes, and the herbs added a lovely harmony to the dish. My friend and I also tried the Red Curry with chicken. It might be a bit sweet for those who aren't fans of sweetness, but for me, it was delicious and felt just like I was enjoying it in Thailand.

I've been enjoying Thai food for over 20 years, and this restaurant is definitely among the top five places I've ever dined. The Penang Curry was fantastic, and the Pad Thai was perfect. I will definitely return during my next Alaskan cruise!

Very impressive and lively vibes. Lots of Thai culture related artwork on the walls. Beautiful tables and artwork all around. Food is delicious and fresh. We ordered green curry with veggie pineapple fried rice. It was good enough for two people.

We loved the Penang curry with fried tofu!! The corn tofu cakes were also great. They give BIG portions. Friendly staff and vibes. Would highly recommend for a dinner in Seward!!
