The café and restaurant has a stunning decor, featuring many octopus and mermaid decorations. The view from above is amazing. We ordered musubi and lemon chicken soup, both of which were delicious. The service was excellent as well. There's also a lovely gift shop below that is definitely worth a visit!
Since I had a few hours to spare, I opted for the full service. I checked out the drink menu downstairs beforehand to see my options. For breakfast, I ordered the Alaska Smoked Toast, while my companion had the standard breakfast. We both ended up returning for lunch after the train arrived, and I noticed that the lunch menu had some different offerings. I decided to try the Moose Bombe Musubi and the Halibut Sandwich. I enjoyed the breakfast items; the Alaska Smoked Toast was particularly memorable. The Moose Bombe Musubi was a delightful twist on the classic Spam Musubi, and I really loved it. The Halibut Sandwich was also impressive, featuring a thicker cut of fish paired with aioli sauce between a brioche bun. Overall, the service was prompt and friendly, and I enjoyed both the breakfast and lunch, with a slight preference for the latter. The restaurant is perfectly located just steps from the train station, making it a great spot for travelers.
What an amazing experience! Our family of four had a fantastic time in a vibrant atmosphere with wonderful people. The food was delicious, and the owner kindly recommended some imaginative novels after my daughter noticed their dragon-themed books. The folks here are truly down-to-earth!
We tried a couple of the toast bites (meat eater and smoked), as well as the musubi starter. It was all pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. I recommend trying their cocktails, which were my favorite part. I liked the atmosphere a lot, but I think they're still figuring out service, since they are new-ish.
