Oriental Garden - Seward

It's disappointing to witness a good Chinese restaurant closing down. Q and his brother made a fantastic team. I'm not really sure why it shut its doors, but I suspect it might be challenging to have two Chinese restaurants in close proximity.

You're in a small town in Alaska and considering trying Chinese food at a place called Oriental Garden. It does seem a bit unusual, and you might be feeling uncertain about it...

The food was very tasty, but this place is a MUST visit for the very special service by Q ! He performed magic tricks, made origami, showed us The Book of Answers , as well as quite a few other tricks! A lot of fun and great service! Definitely come here when visiting Seward!

We stopped at Oriental Garden for their buffet lunch and were happy with all the choices they had. They even had sushi and kimchi! Well, unfortunately in the middle of lunch, my roommate called and told me that our place was broken into and my laptop was stolen. Our server (the one the other two reviewers talked about), overheard my conversation and was incredibly kind! He made me a paper crane for good luck and gave me lunch on the house because I was just devastated (even my hard drive was stolen). His kindness made my day and was the bright spot in an otherwise horrible situation. We went back the next day because we really wanted to enjoy the food, and also thank him for the kindness he showed me. What a great guy! Yes he did magic tricks (seriously, the dice trick was crazy) and gave us a book of answers to flip through during our meal. This was certainly an entertaining and delicious stop! I hope more people check out Oriental Garden, locals and tourists alike, because the service there is certainly top notch!
