Pretty good Chinese for a small town in alaska, I walked thru a kinda dirty screen door to a smiling older woman, it was like eating at grandma's house. Good portion size and prices specially compared to most other places in town.
3 1/2 stars All you can eat Chinese buffet for 10.95. Owner is friendly. Buffet offers Chinese dishes. Mongolian beef, fried rice, chow main, soups, and etc... I really enjoyed hot sour soup, sweet sour chicken and Chinese donuts.
Great service. Kind staff. Food came fast. The Mongolian beef and Chow main were the favorites. 1 of the kids normally will not eat Chinese food, this was the first time he liked anything at a Chinese restaurant. He ordered the fried chicken wings but ended up eating lots of the other dishes. I was not impressed with the sesame chicken. I was the only one to like the Kang Pao halibut, a little to spicy for the rest of the family.
By far, Peking Chinese Restaurant was the best Korean Chinese place in Seward. My father-in-law from China gave it 5 stars because the menu had all the comfort food he craved after a week in Alaska. For me, Peking was more in the a-ok 3-star range ... so, we'll meet half-way at 4-stars. My in-laws and us split four Chinese-style American favorites: Garlic Shrimp with Vegetables like Green Peppers, Zucchini, Broccoli, Carrots, and Celery House Special Lo-mein Noodles with Beef, Chicken, Pork, and Shrimp Wonton Soup with Broccoli, Cabbage, and Wontons Mongolian Beef and Onions Big portions of Chinese classics and a few Korean dishes (towards the back of the menu) make Peking a viable choice for locals or tourists alike. You're in South Central Alaska and want Chinese food, right? Well, Peking Chinese Restaurant is the place.
