The sweetness tasted natural as opposed to a strong added sugar. The puff had a slightly firm texture and it was completely full of a light/airy textured mango flavored cream. I wouldn’t be surprised if a person with a sugar sensitivity could eat this without a problem (I’m not a medical professional, btw. Overall, this is a refreshing summer treat. The ube cheesecake was absolute fiyah! Ube is a purple yam, btw. This cheesecake was delicious and rich. It’s sweeter than the mango puff but not sickeningly sweet like the cheesecake you buy from a grocery store. It’s just right but it might be too much for a person with a sugar sensitivity, like a child or a diabetic. Savor this baby with a hot beverage. My goodness I felt like I was in heaven as I ate this masterpiece. The exterior is firm and the interior is slightly less firm but it doesn’t fall apart. It lightly crumbles. The texture is smooth and consistent, like velvet. I highly recommend the ube cheesecake. Beware the purple transfers to your lips and likely clothes. My cappuccino was unsavory, so I don’t recommend it. The coffee bean lacked nuance. The flavor was pretty flat, so it tasted like acid and milk foam. I like when I can taste different notes in a coffee bean, like berries or chocolate or spice. While the coffee bean was one dimensional the coffee was strong, and that is why I didn’t subtract a star. I recommend this cafe and I look forward to returning to try the numerous other options of pastries.
Amazing and niche place! Love the unique options for both drinks and pastries : would definitely recommend to friends family. Only complaint is how small the store is, wish there was more space! But other than that phenomenal great for takeout :
If you know, you know If you love desserts that are not overly sweet and you're near the Town Center, Light on the Sugar Bakery and Cafe' is a must! The creme puffs pictured cost $5.95 each, and worth every darn penny! S'mores, Cookies and Cream, Creme Brulee and Ferrero Rocher.
The treat i had was so delicious!! I wanted a dozen
Was craving a sweet little desert that wasn’t going make me feel bloated, the lady working there today was very helpful on telling me about each sweet desert they have, atmosphere was nice and cozy, the sweets displace was mouthwatering and hard to look away, I told The cashier to surprise me with her favorite and she gave the cream brule puff, the puff pastry was nice airy and fluffy, the cream was nice and a little runny, I personally Would have liked it to be a bit thicker inside of liquidy. There’s some whipped cream they put that they could have put more of, and some light fruit Overall 8.4/10 Seating was a 8.2/10 Food was a 8.8/10 Service was 10/10 Vibe was 9/10 Price was 8/10 , very reasonable for what your getting, it’s a new place in my rotation
