Potato King - Shawinigan

We stopped in for a quick dinner on July 30, 2015. The service was cold and not very welcoming. The guy overcharged me and then changed the total when he realized his mistake while giving us our order. The hot-dogs and hamburger were quite ordinary, to put it politely. The portion of fries was tiny. Everything was too expensive for the low quality that this restaurant offers, which is far from royal. This place left a bitter taste in our mouths. Hot-dogs $1.85, hamburger $3.00, and fries $2.75. Take a look at our photos if you're interested. We have no intention of returning and do not recommend this place. The fries were a bit cardboard-like, the spaghetti sauce on the Italian poutine was unappetizing, and on top of that, you could see the cook in the dining room licking his fingers while preparing the food... without washing his hands.

Best hot dog in town. The owner provides extraordinary service and makes you feel right at home.
