The Henley House Pub and Restaurant

We were pleasantly surprised to discover this charming establishment. The menu was delicious, the beer selection was great, and the terrace overlooking the river was peaceful. The service was friendly too. If this restaurant were closer to us, we would visit every week!

We were delighted to visit this charming establishment for Welsh tea the day before their season ended. We made a reservation the day prior and eagerly returned at 2pm the next day. The lovely owner, Meryl, served us a delicious meal and provided information on each item, from the high-quality Welsh tea to the Welsh cakes and clotted cream. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, especially the locally made Traffic Jam. If you enjoy tea time, tasty sandwiches, desserts, and a taste of Welsh culture, I highly recommend this place. We look forward to trying their pub food another time. Meryl and her staff were welcoming and made our experience enjoyable. It's definitely worth a visit!

I had the pesto roasted vegetable sandwich and it was amazing. My husband had the green salad. Very tasty and the staff was friendly and pleasant.

I am a Welshman who has been living in Nova Scotia for 12 years, and I rarely have the opportunity to experience the culture of my home country, let alone meet someone else from Wales. This past weekend, we visited The Henley House, first for their incredible Welsh afternoon tea, and then for dinner. It was wonderful to meet Meryl (who grew up only 20 miles away from me in Wales) and her husband, and to reminisce about our hometowns, even finding some connections between our families who had worked in the same places. The afternoon tea was outstanding, with Welsh cakes that tasted just like my mother's, delicious sandwiches, and tea served in crockery adorned with daffodils. Dinner was also delicious, and as a Brit, I couldn't resist trying the fish and chips. I give it a 10/10! It was so lovely to connect with a fellow countryman and explore the Welsh memorabilia scattered throughout the pub. The Henley House is a true gem, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you very much!

We had a group of 10 for a celebration and a reservation atmosphere was great but alot of the items were not in stock I wanted fish cakes there were none so I had fish and chips I've had better some of the deserts were not available our waitress was great though a little rushed would I recommend probably would I go again probably we shall see
