New Wongs Kitchen - Sheffield

We had a great experience with the food at this restaurant. It was fresh, generous in portion size, and arrived promptly. They had no issue delivering to our hotel. We will definitely order from them again when we come back to Sheffield.

Me and my flatmates ordered a takeaway from here at 6:10pm, given an ETA of 7:25pm, which we thought was a long time anyway. The order had still not arrived by 8:15pm so we contacted the restaurant and had a cold response telling us that there were no delivery drivers so we needed to wait. The restaurant did not contact us prior to us phoning them and were extremely rude, also telling us the food had been waiting for the driver for half an hour!! We then persisted to ask if the food would be cold when it arrived having it sat out waiting for that amount of time. The just eat order status said it had been delivered at 7:50pm, which was a blatant lie, so just eat could not help us either. After almost 3 hours the food had still not arrived, it wasn’t a large or complicated order either. Once the food actually arrived after almost 3 hours.... It was all cling filmed up, in a clear attempt to keep it warm. Which failed. The food was cold, over cooked and one of my flat mates almost broke a tooth trying to bite into a piece of their chilli beef that had been cooked to death. The chips were half full and the prawn toast indestructible. Overall, the food was appalling, very very disappointed. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! Rude staff, cold food and extremely poor service.

So we ordered from here for the first time (we order salt and pepper box, rice, noodles and spring rolls) not only did it take 2 hours to come after me ringing them a lot and then putting the phone down on me. It came and it was really cold and the salt and pepper box wasn’t proper salt and pepper they literally just chucked salt and pepper all over the food not like normal salt and pepper from a chinese. We were all ill pretty much straight after too with stomach cramps. If I could give no stars then I would

The first time we ordered it was fantastic. This time stuff was missing from the order and the food was not good. We won't be ordering from there again.

I attempted to order food for my boyfriend's mother today as she does not have internet access and wanted a takeaway delivered during lockdown. It took hours to find an open Chinese takeout restaurant, but when we finally found one on Just Eat, we started placing our order. However, the restaurant suddenly closed while we were navigating the menu. We then tried Uber Eats and found the same takeaway restaurant again. We successfully placed the order and received a confirmation that the food was being prepared. I called my boyfriend's mother to inform her that the order was confirmed and to let me know when it arrived. An hour later, she called me to say that the food never came. I checked the order status on my browser and it said it had been cancelled. I had promised her a meal, and now she was left without dinner at 9:30 at night because the restaurant decided to cancel her order due to a lack of curry sauce. A simple phone call would have been appreciated. Do not order from this restaurant.
