The pub wasn’t busy so while waiting, we looked around to see if any tables were reserved, there weren’t any. Finally, one of them came to us, I explained I’d booked a table, they all had another little chat and then said to us “as it’s not busy, you can sit anywhere. Order at the bar”. There was a booth table that wasn’t being used which we would’ve liked to sit in but it was completely full of dirty glasses. We sat nearby, I went to the bar and bought a bottle of wine. Again, I felt that I was getting in their way. I did consider suggesting that we go elsewhere to eat but decided to stick with it. The pub started to get busier and more staff arrived, we ordered another bottle of wine from a guy on the bar who was pleasant and didn’t seem to mind serving us. Staff then started to clear the dirty tables and start reserving them. Our food came within about 20 minutes of ordering and was very nice. The pub itself is very pleasant but feel that it’s let down by the staff. We did enjoy our evening as we own a pub ourselves so don’t get chance to go out much and this was a pre theatre meal bought for my mum as a Mothers Day gift. I don’t feel that I would visit again.
We arrived on a very busy Friday night. We had booked a table but the staff were so busy that it took a while to get anyone's attention. The table wasn't reserved but the staff found us one after a while so we were a little disappointed.
Crowded and very noisy. everyone shouting over loud music . went outside, nt very comfortable but quieter. service very slow but they were very busy. food, when it came was fine. reasonable prices, wine was good, would say it would only suit younger people who enjoy the noise. not accessible flight of steps to get in and steep ones down to toilets, so did not suit people like me who are less mobile, or anyone in heels imagine it would be quite risky after a few drinks. definitely not going again, but as said would suit people who want to make a noisy night of it
Overcrowded and very loud. all screaming about loud music. went outside, nt very comfortable, but quieter. very slow, but they were very busy eating when it came, it was good. reasonable prices, wein was good, would say it would only be for young people who enjoy the noise. not accessible step flight to get in and steep on toilets, so not on people like me who are less mobile, or someone in hustle imagine it would be quite risky after a few drinks. in any case not going back, but as would be said, would be on people who want to make a loud night of him
We had a fantastic breakfast here on Friday afternoon for a party of 20 guests. The staff was incredibly attentive, the food was delicious, and the cocktails were amazing. I have no complaints about the staff or the venue. To top it off, we were surprised with a complimentary bottle of prosecco presented in a beautiful ice bucket for me and my partner. It was a lovely gesture that we truly appreciated. The restaurant is beautiful, has a great location, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were outstanding, I would highly recommend this place with a perfect rating of 5. I wish there was an option to rate it even higher than that.
