The Original India Garden - Sheffield

Previous good review posted 2 weeks ago now deleted Used to come here years ago with family , no reason we stopped going just had tried other places and got used to it. Saw them on an app and decided to go back to try and been back several times since. Service is excellent , the waiter we’ve seen every time is friendly and professional. The food is lovely. Become a firm favourite again thank you Visited tonight 11/04/23 placed our order had starters no issues. When mains was ready he told us no naan bread at 9.10pm as they had been very busy with takeaways. We said we would just leave but he said they would make fresh naan. It came out absolutely disgusting wouldn’t serve it and only tasted it beside this untouched. Various excuses as to why the naan was so bad. Seemed very dishonest and appears they’re only bothered about the takeaway side of it. Despite the above still taking orders for naan breads over phone and in person for takeaway. Not good customer service at all.

Ordered take away from India Garden which never arrived. Called restaurant to discuss and they were really rude. Insisted that the food had been delivered and refused to send the food to the right address or issue a refund. Terrible level of service.

Dont go! This place is a hell hole. Outdated interior. Poor service. Ignorant waiter. As for the food its just warm and tasted nothing like a curry should do.

The mixed kebab starter was quite nice but the main (mixed karaha) was very average. Not a great deal of meat but lots of onions and peppers. Rice and nan breads, ok no better than average. Service was very good and food all well presented and server within a reasonable time. On the pricier side of average for what it is, I thought. £76 for a standard, 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 sundries. To sum up, yeah ok if you are in that part of town and fancy a curry, but not really somewhere I would particularly go out of my way to get to.

Decided to call here for our evening meal and it was very nice. The service was good and the food even better so if we are in the area again. I'm sure to call in again and try a different dish from the extensive menu. Cheers guys.
