Went with a excellent group of people for a wonderful experience for an italian night out.<br/ <br/ It is a casual italian experience with a very nice atmosphere. <br/ <br/ The appetizers we had were the arancini rice balls, the sausage peppers, and the calamari special in which were all great. The rice balls are a must for sure!!!<br/ <br/ Everyone's entrees were excellent as well and they included the veal parmesan, the chicken fettuccini alfredo, the seafood fettuccini, the pasta with red clam sauce, the pasta with tomato sauce and italian sausage, and the fettuccine alfreado with chicken, spinach, and mushrooms.<br/ <br/ The cheesecake and cannoli were very good. Four out of the six of us were stuffed so that's why only two desserts. They were out of tiramisu, which was a bumber. The spanish coffees, the chocolate martinis, and cappuccino's were awesome.<br/ <br/ Overall, it was a great experience and can't wait to return and tell people about the experience.
Good. I really like this restaurant. I think is sauce is excellent. The only bad thing is the decor. Looks very nice on the outside but what is with the sunflowers??? Uncomfortable sitting underneath them. Expect dust bunnies to fall in my food. Very dated look. Too much **** on the walls. My husband and I go there to eat but would not want to take anyone we want to impress because of decor!!
A Taste of Italy. A couple of weeks ago we were looking for a restaurant we 've never been, but also some place fairly close to home (Sterling Heights). Since I also have an Entertainment 2011 Book, I thought we should take advantage of any discounts. My family loves Italian cooking so we settled on Da Francesco in Shelby Township. Looking on the outside, the building is somewhat small, but looks can be deceiving. The building is kind of 'L-shaped ' with a fairly good sized dining area. We were there for a late lunch, so the dining room was kind of sparse. We started off with an appetizer of their Fried Calamari and an order of Brushchetta, which were excellent. Our entrees were the Vitello Scallopini and the Jumbo Shrimp Scampi. Each entrée was delicious and the portions were more than generous. Included was their 'Soup of the Day ' which looked a lot like the traditional 'Italian Wedding Soup. With my Scallopini I had a side dish of pasta with a wonderful meat sauce and the Scampi included a side of fresh vegetables. The prices are reasonable, the food delicious, and the service excellent. What more can anyone ask for when you get a 'Taste of Italy ' in Shelby Township.
Great food, staff was friendly and the Italian singer added to the atmostphere. Highly recommend, it's worth trying
I visited Da Francesco for my birthday and was very pleased with my experience. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the place had a nice feel to it. The restuarant is also not that expensive. We received so much food we couldn't believe that it was all under $20! I had soup, salad, pasta, and then finally the main course. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, of looked appetizing, and it was filling. I would reccomend this restuarant to everyone and I will be going back soon.
