Shelby Family

After my surgery on Wednesday, we discussed where to go for a late lunch. There are plenty of dining options between Charlotte and Shelby, but Steve suggested we return to the Shelby Family Restaurant, where we had eaten the day before. This time, he ordered the fried pork chop plate with pinto beans and potato salad, enjoying it just as much as I did. I chose the baked chicken served over rice, along with green beans, and I have to say it was the best chicken soup I've ever tasted—rich with chicken, rice, and broth. It was so filling that I had leftovers to take home. Once again, Steven Proctor was our excellent waiter, and we thoroughly enjoyed both meals. We will definitely be back. I encourage you to give this restaurant a try; you might be pleasantly surprised!

This is the best restaurant in Shelby! I highly recommend it for breakfast – it’s amazing! Dinner is just as fantastic. I can confidently say that this is my favorite restaurant. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is wonderful. Everyone should give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!

They have by far the very best seafood in town. The servers are nice and aim to make your experience a good one. The vegetables are really good too. And I have heard statements like, They have the best Peach Cobbler ever.
