The owner escorted us from the back parking lot, through the kitchen, and to our table. The kitchen appearance did not put us off. As soon as we were seated, he provided detailed explanations of the menu and ordering process. Despite being a small shop, they produce their own bread and a variety of baked goods and desserts. Our lunch arrived quickly, and my wife and I both agreed that they make the best tomato and basil soup we have ever had. The menu offers a nice selection of interesting sandwiches, and none of the four of us were disappointed with our choices. We all opted for a bowl of soup instead of a cup, and we were glad we did - the tomato and basil soup was excellent. For dessert, we chose a chess bar and a pecan nut bar, both of which were delicious. By the time we left, we were all full and pleasantly surprised by how affordable the meal was.
This bakery and restaurant is incredible. It's a fantastic spot to grab some conchas and lunch.
A terrible service. I've been checking myself out forever, then everything that charged me twice for one purchase. I tried to call, but the given number is wrong.
We've eaten in and carried out a few times. Never had a bad sandwhich. Food ready by the time we get there to pick it up.
Absolutely the best place if you want an authentic grab of Mexican food if you're in town. Possibly the best restaurant, and food, in all of Shelbyville. Great for any day, and a definite must. The tacos are some of the best, and even in my hometown of Mérida Yucatán, Mexico, this food would stand it's place. Give it a try, and you'll keep coming back to it. A contestant for a Michelin.
