We were down camping at table rock lake and our first night after setup, we usually find a place for takeout. We passed the Conoco station on the way in and thought we would go back and see what they had. This is not a convenience store. The Conoco and Lake Shack are owned by two different people. Inside you will find tables and chairs and seating outside along with the typical items for a convenience store with refrigerators filled with drinks and snacks items and fountain drinks. That's where the convenience store ends. The Lake Shack menu was amazing with all handmade dishes. It was so hard to decide. The chicken fingers were huge and hand breaded, my wife had spicy fresh made breaded green beans and the potato soup. The BLT was more like a BLT club. Get you a pint of Custard for dessert. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I wish it was closer. Because we try different places for camping and may not be back to this area in a while it may be forever before coming back. If we do, I hope this place survives. They need to open place in Springfield or Kansas City. I would be visiting their multiple times a week.
Good fresh food. Busy so waited a bit but worth it. Clean. Food is complex but they cook to order .
Was a wonderful meal we all enjoyed what we ordered. I still remember it as The Pink Store when we camped at Campbell's Point.
Met the new owner. She previously worked for the restaurant and then left. She later purchased the business, spruced it up and did a great job. We also met four employees; all were friendly and helpful. Smashburger was awesome.
