Crust Gourmet Pizza Shellharbour

The pizzas at this restaurant were very dry, with only a small amount of sauce that ended up getting charred and adding to the dryness. Even the dog had trouble swallowing it. The chips also had a stale powder taste to them, which the dog did not enjoy either. Overall, everything at this restaurant seemed crusty, in line with its name I suppose.

We waited 1.5 hours for our delivery from this restaurant. When we called to ask for an update, we were promised free garlic bread and a drink, which were not included in our order when it finally arrived. We called again after an hour and were informed that our pizzas had just been put in the oven. The pizzas we received were mainly cheese with minimal toppings - for example, the signature pepperoni pizza had only 6 pepperonis and the chicken avocado pizza had just 5 small cubes of avocado.

I ordered CHEESY garlic bread- easy enough, right? Wrong; waited 25 MINUTES, got into the car only to find it was regular garlic bread- absolutely hopeless. I understand you're busy- but it's garlic bread, do better.

We have been ordering with Crust for years and have always enjoy their product. What I don't enjoy is having to wait between an 1.5-2h overtime for a delivery, despite setting a delivery time 2h later through the website. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened. I understand the staff do their best on busy nights, however I believe that there were not enough staff for a rainy weekend night. Our call went unanswered for 20 minutes before a frazzled employee answered the phone apologising. The poor thing sounded like she has spent the night dealing with exactly the same kinds of calls as ours demanding where our food is. I also wish that the franchisee had the ability to adjust the ETA on orders, giving real time estimate on pick-up and delivery. This would help customers choose if they wish to wait during busy periods or go elsewhere. Hoping this helps others in the future when deciding to order here on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening. Even ordering ahead of time doesn't help apparently.

Was delivered 2 burnt pizzas. Called, they said they would deliver new ones. 3 hours later called and asked what was happening. The manager was the rudest man I have ever spoken to. Told me it wasn't his problem, I said it was...cause it was! No pizza and no refund for me. Absolutely disgusted. Won't have crust pizza again obviously, will be telling all my friends and family to pass it on as well.
