Hanok Korean Bbq Shellharbour

We often visit Hanok for BBQ, as the quality of the meat is exceptional. A few months ago, we noticed some inconsistencies, but now the quality is consistently impressive. When the restaurant is busy, the service can be a bit slow, depending on the staff on duty, but generally, the customer service is very friendly and accommodating. The Korean soups and other dishes on the menu are also quite tasty. Today, we ordered the black bean paste soup and spicy rice cakes to go, and they were fantastic!

The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. I dined in for dinner, and the cost per person ranged from $20 to $40.

This restaurant should not have closed Sushi Bay. Our experience was absolutely terrible. Just a year ago, this place was fantastic. The fact that only three tables were filled on a Saturday evening in the Mission should have been a warning sign. The portion sizes were only a third of what they used to be. The server seemed inexperienced and was rude and rushed, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. They didn't seem to understand that it didn't matter who ordered what; we just wanted to enjoy our meal at the table without feeling crowded. The list of issues goes on and on. We will not be returning.

One and a half hours after the arrival and waiting for food. bummer! once it was nice, though my guests were over them.
