We recently had the best fish (hoki) and chips we have had in years at this restaurant! It was definitely worth making the drive to get there, despite the disappointing weather. We were glad we opted for the smaller portions, as the plates were filled with more than enough to satisfy our appetites. This place is truly a hidden gem that we were lucky to discover.
The food is expensive for the portion sizes offered. However, this restaurant is the only option around and they have renovated the space beautifully, making it a lovely place to dine and enjoy the view.
Just back from a delightful lunch with 10 friends. Sitting on the deck on the best day in Autumn , watching the boats and the fishermen was sublime. One of the best fish and chip plates, very reasonably priced, helpful hosts, and who can ask for more.Well worth the trip to the Kaipara.
Great food. Friendly service. Large open seating area with a great view
