We felt shortchanged on portion size and might think twice about coming back because of this. To make matters worse, that one rib was mostly bone, with hardly any meat. Additionally, it was uncomfortably cold in the dining room—three out of the four people at our table were shivering.
First time in. Ordered take-out and was warmly greeted and treated as if I was the only guest in the restaurant. Meticulous care was taken in preparing my order while I quickly checked out with the cashier. I ordered only meats to have later in the day. Our food was perfection...we fought over the last two pieces of sausage. Sure to be a place we go on repeat. The brisket is a must as well.
I visited here for the first time today and was very disappointed. I got the beef rib which was so tough I couldn’t eat it. I was expecting it to be tender like other reviews said but it was the complete opposite. The Mac n cheese was good though. My pecan pie seemed to be over baked and dry. I won’t be back considering I paid $35 and only the macaroni was good. What a waste!! Btw this was the Woodlands location.
First-get rid of all of the Bud Light in the ice chest. That is basically all that there was. Most people eating at a BBQ place are not drinking Bud Light these days. Add some Modelo Imperial and you have something.I have been going to Killens since it first opened and I was a fan. Over the past couple of years, I have seen the food quality go down. The sausage is not very flavorable and is generally dry since it has been in the warmer for a long time. The brisket is accepbable, but if you order moist, you might be getting mostly fat. The greens(and I love greens) are generally undercooked. Put them on the cook longer Ronnie.Hey Killens, you have some significant competition coming to the area. Better do some quality control before you get left behind.Came back on 9/24. Ordered moist brisket. It was basically fat brisket. Had baked beans and someone must have decided to add vinegar to the beans. What the hell is going on here? They need to bring back the management of when the place first opened.
Contemporary country atmosphere. The BBQ is outstanding and the restaurant is extremely clean. This establishment is great for you and your family to dine at. Takeout too!
