The infinity pool with a bar was lovely. The grounds had beautiful plantings. We ate dinner and breakfast the dining room was spacious with great views. Meals were good.
This is one of our favorite escapes. The chalet we enjoy has a whirlpool tub, well equipped bathroom with folding door entrance, double sink King Size four poster bed, a gas fireplace, even a small living room section. The view of the balcony is amazing. We sat there for dinner. The menu has since the last time that we are dining there We could not really see that any entrees interest us except the crab cakes that were excellent. The Triple Sec cheesecake Dessert was best show delicious! The next day's breakfast was wonderful. We both think that this place is worth a lot of repetition in the future
I have eaten several times in the Inn... I live ~11⁄2 hours away and it is absolutely worth the ride. If you love German food, I recommend eating here. During each visit the staff was always friendly, friendly and polite... and the food is exceptional. This is a place you can go for various occasions: a formal meal until tonight to a casual Saturday evening dinner with friends. Overall, it is a wonderful dining room experience and has a firm place in my rotation of fine culinary visits.
One of our favorites for one night. Eating is always good and they have a good selection of options from traditional German food to wild game and Americans. Great onion soup. The service is fair. The only disappointment is the atmosphere. You go to the old house and expect an experience, but as soon as you get to the restaurant seats, it will be very modern and sterile. I always hope in an old world style charm, but that's not it.
After hearing the rooms that were dated, I was hesitant to stay, but we splurged for my birthday. I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes, the property is not brand new, but it has a certain charm. Our room was clean and without any dirty smells or anything. We loved the hot tub and enjoyed great water pressure. The small terrace balcony was great to sit at night and see the sun rising in the morning. I appreciate that the pool opens at 8 a.m., offers an opportunity to swim in the tranquility of the morning before it gets crowded. The grounds are well maintained and the reception was helpful and polite. I'll stay here again.
