The Providence Inn - Shepway

Sunday lunch quality excellent, plenty plentiful, presentation good and service attentive. Just criticism, especially not against this place... why do people have to scream loudly when they eat? It pampered it for other customers and happens in all levels... of restaurants and it is more remarkable when setting 'hard' (without carpets / spots, to soften noise). This was the only crumb so customers please note and think of others who may not have a perfect hearing.

What do you want? Beautiful environment, well placed, good food, very cheap, a lot of beer, wine and spirits? That's what we found tonight, it all crossed those boxes with the additional bonus of a really appealing owner. My only... she's that we didn't find it earlier, we're gonna be out for lost time.

Absolutely amazing friendly owners. Convene a Sunday dinner and put us in. Great with our 11-month daughter. Fully interacted with her and she loved the attention. Would recommend to everyone to wish nice food in a beautiful atmosphere. See you soon.

The best Sunday dinner I had outside! Beef was perfect, potatoes, peppers, Yorkshire powders and all veg fresh, homemade and delicious. Would highly recommend. Very friendly staff. Desserts also delicious. Can't wait to go back. Thanks Providence Inne for a beautiful afternoon and dinner.

We had a great meal on Friday night. I can’t believe we have t eaten in here before especially as we live in Sandgate! This is a lovely old pub full of character. The service was very good and the food was excellent with a...great range of choice. The whitebait in particular was amazing and the the best I have had since having them in Spain 20 years ago. Very generous portions too. Highly recommended.
