We stopped there asking for directions on a rainy day, one day of spring, and decided to grab a coffee or two for the road. The good: Nice looking place. Limited seating but always a place available. Good coffee. Nice looking desserts. The bad: VERY expensive, more than Starbucks. Young staff that are okay, but not much on customer service. Entrance small and can get congested while waiting for coffee. Place is very loud. Although the coffee is good, the place itself was very loud and had families there with screaming which made it louder. I would grab and go instead of staying, and that is if l had money to spend
We're visiting in Sherbrooke so we decided on October 9th to try it out. The restaurant is very nice inside but the food and service especially need improvement!! Very slow on service. We thought maybe it was a mistake so we returned to give it a second try on October 10th. The martinis were good, the Italian wedding soup was also good. The nachos were poorly done. What I mean by this is that there was hardly any cheese and it was only on the top. The chips were the thick cheap kind, old olives and shriveled hot peppers maybe 5 of them for $15. Now for the server. It took her at least 5 minutes to come and acknowledge us. We were sitting there with our menus closed and ready to order. Once our food came she did ask us how it was. Not once did she come back to see if we wanted another beverage. Once we were done we piled the dishes in the middle of the table and I had to ask for the bill because she was too busy talking to another server. We did not leave a tip and being that we are also in the restaurant industry is not what I normally do. We will not return or recommend this location. This could be why the restaurant wasn't busy on both days that we were there.
This establishment is well located on King St West. There are three floors with vast space. The decor is also quite attractive and the service is pleasant. The menu is quite impressive and the visual appearance of the dishes is appealing. The food however was truly not up to expectations. The mushroom soup didn't taste very fresh. The cannelloni was undercooked, chewy and a little too salty. The vegetarian pizza was decent with fresh vegetables but not very tasty. Pricing is upper medium.
Stopped here with friends while cycling. They enjoyed a great breakfast . Their plates were spectacular! I had their lunch special. A cream of tomato soup, Bolognese pennes, a cookie and coffee for 10$...I greatly enjoyed it all, specially since the portions were not too big...just right! We enjoyed the terrasse and service was great.
