Restaurant Demers - Sherbrooke

Recommended by my cousin, this was a great little find. Service was excellent and had the best coquilles Saint-Jacques. Caesar salad was very tasty also. Lots of rooms available for business lunches or family get together's. My new favourite restaurant.

In general I order from this place almost every week and I order the same meal every time which is a hamburger steak with fried onions, mashed potatoes (or fries or baked) and steamed veggies. Its very good. Up until tonight Ive never had a...problem. Tonight after placing my order I asked if she could ask the chef to just put a little bit of sauce on top of the mashed potatoes because the little cup of sauce that they give barely is enough to cover the meat paddies they give you but when she wanted to charge me an extra for it I got so insulted that I cancelled my order.

This used to be my favorite restaurant and we came here for many special occasions. They have private rooms for small get togethers which is really nice. Their chicken is spit-roasted right in the restaurant and you can watch it turning as you enter. The...problem is the service and quality has gone downhill in the past few years. The last times we've been here we've been disappointed...the orders always had mistakes (completely forgetting one order once and the food seemed rushed and not as good as it once was. Nice outdoor seating area only problem is people smoke on the sidewalk right beside it. Menu has a large selection of items for good prices.

Nothing to dislike about their wood fire pizza. Had the 'Canadian' delivered prompt delivery, hot pizza and the driver brought along plates etc. nice touch! Next time, I'd order the pizza well done as it was a bit on goopey side but absolutely...nothing to complain about. Tasty ingredients, good crust. Well Done, restaurant Demers!

Le repas était bon mais au moment du dessert il ne restait plus ce que ma soeur et moi avions commandé, soient des brownies. Donc, nous n'avons pas pris de dessert. Toutefois, sur la facture on nous a fait payer une tarte au caramel! Malheureusement, je ne m'en suis rendue compte que chez moi en détaillant ladite facture. Comme je n'ai plus confiance, la prochaine fois, nous irons ailleurs. Douze clients de perdus!
