Woods Sherbrooke

Tucked away in the Dandenong ranges we attended a birthday lunch at Woods. The rear of the restaurant has a function area where they seated approx 30-35 people. The waiting staff were fabulous, the food was excellent. A salmon stack for entree, my main was rack of lamb with vegetables and the birthday cake was dessert. The cake was absolutely delicious and everyone on our table commented on how nice it was... it was pastry and a French vanilla cream filling served with strawberries. Scrumptious lunch and a great atmosphere with warm fire as well!

A family gathering last weekend was made all the more special holding it at Woods of Sherbrooke. The food was great. There is a slight Asian infusion but not so much as to exclude favourite meals. On a cold winter's day sweet potato soup, braised melt in the mouth beef, amongst Thai beef salad, calamari was enjoyed and comments were made on the quality of the food. Biodynamic, organic produce sourced locally made it all the more special. Highly recommend this place for a larger gathering or an intimate dinner. Jill was very accommodating to make sure this was a memorable occasion for everyone.

My wife and I stopped in for a take away coffee after our hike, and to check out the menu for lunch. We decided against lunch as we were just looking for something quick and easy. The girl who served us seemed to change her tune then and her manner became arrogant. She then served us possibly the most revolting coffees we've ever had.

Excellent service, great atmosphere and fantastic food, Woods was a great find. The menu is Asian fusion with great flavours. There was plenty of room around the tables as well.
