Ordered the dinner for six and although the men were hungry, we still took food home. I was somewhat hesitant after reading previous reviews, however pleasantly surprised with our experience. Will return as other Asian restaurants do not compare. Recommended to others and hope you have a favourable experience.
We have been to this restaurant many times and really have enjoyed our food there. We were usually served by the owner or she was present each time we were there. This last visit she was not in the restaurant and what a disappointing difference. My son was given the wrong bowl of soup. My friend got no food at all and I had the correct order. When I tried to talk to the lady about it and get some food for my friend she became really aggressive with us. First she said it was my son's fault. Then she said it was my fault and then she blamed the guy in the kitchen. We just said fine and ate our food so we could get out of there. When the bill came she had over-charged us by one bowl of soup. I pointed this out and she started screaming. She would not let me get one word in and screamed continuously until we got up, paid our bill and left the restaurant. I have spent hundreds of dollars in this restaurant and decided to email the owner about our situation. I have never received a reply or any acknowledgement. We will have to find a new place to get dumplings in Sherwood Park.
We are original customers and have found the quality of the food has gone downhill. We ordered dinner for two, wor won ton soup and green onion cakes. Everything was very bland, the soup was watery and the rice had very little chicken. The sweet and sour pork had chunks of blubber and no flavor. We couldn't even eat the meal! So disappointing because it was always our go to restaurant.....
We have been here few times over the last couple of years and it keeps going down hill. Prices are going up and the quality is going down. Last visit we paid $30 for a bowl of won ton soup and one order of beef and broccoli. It is a family business but there were children running around in the open kitchen area. There are plenty of options for this type of cuisine in the Park that represent better value.
We tried the wontons i week ago and found they were great. I had heard by word of mouth that they were the best in the park and I was impressed, not soggy, tasty, good amount of meat. So we went for chicken balls, sweet and sour, noodles, crispy ginger beef. Good grief what a shame! Bland, limited spices, very chewy beef, no taste of chicken balls at all. Noodles were ok, wont be going back again. No point in writing too much really. Sorry guys!
