Would highly recommend this hotel. Accommodation and food were excellent. Loved the shields from the festival in the reception. The hotel also has a snooker table and a bar with pool, darts and a good selection of local drinks.
The Brae Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The food they served was outstanding, and the restaurant staff exceeded our expectations.
The Restaurant was excellent and the service from 'the boys ' outstanding. During my lengthy stay the Menu was varied and of very good quality. The let down was my bed, which was like sleeping on jelly, it literally moved and so led to sleepless nights.
Stopped off here for coffee following a trip to Eshaness. Hotel were very friendly and accommodating to us. We didn’t have any food just coffee but will certainly consider returning for a meal. The hotel was nice and clean and good service.
My Carer booked the Brae hotel on online. He didn't get a disability accessible room which ended up being in a normal room. We did ask when we arrived but they only had 1 which was in use. This is strange for a 35 room hotel. When we arrived there was stairs into the hotel but a lovely chap was outside sweeping the stairs and pointed us to a back door with a ramp. The door was locked on the outside but this chap went through the hotel and opened the door for us. I don't know his name but he used to leave the door ajar for us whilst he was working outside. We had a lovely stay. The staff where really friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The hotel furniture was a bit dated but it was very clean in fact the whole room was clean and dust free. 1 window was facing the Norwegian sea inlet and it is very pretty. 1 window was facing some dog kennels. As you can imagine I was worried that the dogs would be barking all night or very early in the morning but the dogs didn't come out until after 8am so it wasn't a problem. The breakfast was very nice and cooked very well. Why a 4 star rather than a 5 star from us. It was the evening meal. There was 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 puddings. This changed every day to another 3 of each. On the day we had a dinner. I had to plump for a Mac and Cheese. It was OK but not worth £12. All options cost the same. £12 was for the main not all 3 course's. The portion sizes where also very small. Please note this was our opinion some one else would probably say it was enough for them. We would recommend this hotel.
