The Mill Cafe - Shetland Islands

We really enjoyed our afternoon tea here with some really delicious home-baked scones. Next time we will make certain we are there for lunch.

This cafe would be welcome if it did no more than provide cups of tea, but actually it has a good little menu and whoever bakes the cakes should be on Bake Off. They have the lightest Victoria sponge I've ever tasted, great cheese scones and warming soups (which can be useful in our climate). The service is good, considering they can get very, very busy locals come here as well as visitors, and for good reasons. Great view, too.

There is a limited choice here but the food is good. Ideally situated for lunch when you are on the westside. Soups are good and sandwiches are filling.

Great place to visit for light lunch or afternoon tea. We went 3 times during our 2 week holiday and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff friendly. Scones and cakes great. Wish it was my local!
