Hailing from Oakland, California, Blue Bottle is one of the major players in the US specialty coffee scene. They also have a dozen or so shops in Tokyo. Blue Bottle is majority-owned by Nestlé, so your money goes straight to the devil. Their signature drink is the New Orleans , which combines roasted chicory (a low-quality coffee substitute) with milk and sugar to create a pretty pleasant drink. As for pour-over, you can choose between blend and single origin. I had the latter, which was an unaerobically processed natural coffee from Indonesia—an enjoyable brew with pineapple and floral notes, plus the bubblegum flavor that unaerobic processing tends to produce. What I dislike about this coffee shop is the location. It 's situated in a passageway between stores in the basement of Shinjuku bus station. There are lots of people passing through, so it 's not really a place to relax.
Place was crowded, but service was rather fast and coffee is good! Great that they have an english menu to cater to tourist and staff was quick to pick up tourist who doesnt read japanese : Nice and spacious interior
Pretty crowded, would help to have a better system for pick up. Quite a bit of traffic out in the area but coffee is well made. On the higher end of affordable, but likely reflects the brand and franchise.
Barista got our order wrong 3 times but she was nice enough to correct it and apologised for it. Good cup of coffee but really quite pricey. Space was nice, clean lines and colours.
