Ellis - Shinnston

I visited this restaurant with my family for dinner, and it was quite an experience. First of all, the restaurant is very small, and I truly don't understand how it passes health inspections. I went into the bathroom, which felt more like a closet, and I even saw a cup of coffee sitting on the sink. The service was lacking as well. I ordered an omelette for dinner, which was good, but considering it's a homemade-style place, I didn't have high expectations to begin with. I didn't even ask if they accept American Express because I already knew the answer. On the bright side, there is a drive-in movie theater attached to the restaurant, so you can catch the latest Hollywood films.

The food here is delicious, with a great selection of hoagies, salads, and pasta. They also serve homemade pie, which is a must-try. I've been visiting this restaurant periodically for the past 25 to 30 years, and it has consistently been clean, cozy, and welcoming.
