Nalanda [nv] - Shivamogga

One of the oldest hotel in Shivamoga. They have good variety of dishes. Taste wise it's diminishing over the period. They should concentrate on the quality. Best is Mutton biryani. Paaya is best in town. Mutton chop is top notch. But a little pricey, bit oily. Rest all is good.

It was a good hotel back then, now it is just another average hotel with ok food

Worst experience, no respect to the customers. Charged 100/ rs for water melon pieces plate. It's cost only 10 to 20 rs. They given the bill saying that it's fruit salad. Questioned them to change the bill to water melon pieces, refused to give other bill. Fully disappointed, worst behaviour and negligence behaviour towards customer. Please brother avoid this type of bar and restaurant.

A jam packed restaurant opposite to the district court of shivamogga. They serve authentic malnad naati nonveg food, the mutton served in their biryani was nice and juicy loved the spicey automatic mutton pulao rice combined with a good portion of kabab was excellent. This place gets easily filled up during court working days and have to wait in queue, so recommend to plan and visit accordingly
