This cosy cafe is situated on the corner of East Street opposite the stunning ancient church of St Mary de Haura. The friendly staff serve a range of hot and cold drinks including delicious coffee and hot chocolate. The food is cooked to order and includes hearty soups, jacket potatoes with delicious fillings, and outstanding Welsh rarebit. Sandwiches, wraps and salads are also on offer as well as a range of delicious cakes. Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available. Highly recommended.

In this increasingly de-humanised world, Hectors provides a cosy corner of good humoured friendliness. The staff must know fifty customers by name, many of whom return every day. The soups must be the tastiest in Sussex, if not the whole world, and accompanied with avocado and grilled halloumi on rye toast, they make a wonderful meal. Thank you for being such a lovely warm place.
Wow, Hectors never lets me down. Took my elderly mum there recently, enjoyed the coffee walnut , Victoria sponge their legendary bread pudding! Love the chatter from the all female staff, they all make you feel at Home. If your in the area you’ve got to pop in !!
