Boxcar Grill - Short Hills

My friends and I came together after work for drinks and food. When I arrived, I parked near the street. At first I didn't see where the restaurant was, but it's right at the station. I walked in and found some seats at the bar where we sat. Amy was our bartender and she was good. I just drank, so I had Merlot. My friends got food and drinks they enjoyed. There's no happy hour here fyi. The bill wasn't bad. All in all, we enjoyed our time.

WOW, WOW, WOW. The best dinner and drinks we had in a while. Super attentive staff and the owner is to check in the premises in all its guests. The seasonal cocktails and craft beers were great. Crystal our server had great suggestions and checked for us several times. Super fresh ingredients and home made.. everything! Mahi mahi tacos and station Burger not disappointed. The loaded perpetrators were some of the best we had and they were huge. Wish we lived a little closer, this could be a main thing for us, but we will definitely stop when we are in the area. Great experience. super sweet, cozy atmosphere. Beverages, cauliflowers, veal and turkey burger special, and Cobbler Dessert! Nice staff too!

Absolute love that my friend introduced me to this place. Casual clever station inside. Simple menu many burgers and not crazy expensive. Good drinks. Loves the owner who sends a personal reservation link after a visit.

What about awesome concept for a restaurant, there is a bar and a few tables on one side of the building, and when the train station closes they turn the other half into a dining room. Very cool, and they have plenty of outdoor seating as well. Great bar with local brews on tap, and a very good bourbon selection. The food was amazing. The loaded tater tots, wings, pizzas, burger and fries were all excellent. The staff was second to none, attentive and informed about what they had to offer, and they couldn't have been friendlier. You won't be disappointed here!
