Hhog Hheaven Bbq - Shreveport

The staff at this restaurant were very welcoming. I ordered the 2-meat plate with chicken and ribs. The ribs were delicious, but the chicken skin was extremely tough. For sides, I had potato salad and macaroni and cheese. The potato salad was tasty, but the macaroni and cheese was unpleasant. It was clear that the cook knew it was not good when preparing it. Overall, it might be better to just barbecue at home.

Everything about this restaurant is worth the trip. Kimberly's customer service 5 stars. Ribs truly don't need and I didn't use any sauce. My photo below of Stuffed Chicken Breast is massive and WAS DELICIOUS. First business I ever rated with so many stars. RUN DON'T WALK to HHog HHeaven! One of the best restaurants in S'port /Bossier.Vegetarian options: Okra and tomatoes are some of the best I ever tasted, greens delicious, dirty rice was good. Okra and tomatoes are a must try.

I ordered a 3-meat plate, which was more expensive than Podnuh's but comparable to Shane's pricing. The portions were perhaps slightly larger than those two restaurants. I chose sausage, brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, and beans. As they assembled my order, I noticed them heating it up in the microwave, resulting in dry brisket and ribs. The ribs had good flavor and were tender, but the seasoning was too thick and gritty. The sausage was average, the mac and cheese lacked flavor, and the beans were solid. The best parts of the order were the flavorful beans and the ribs if you enjoy a gritty seasoning. Despite the disappointments, I mentioned that I would be willing to give the restaurant another try with a different item on their menu, as they had a wide variety of options available.
