The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting on a Sunday afternoon. Our group consisted of both adults and children, and the menu had a good variety to choose from. There were a couple of vegetarians in our party, and they were happy to find three vegetarian options on the Sunday lunch menu. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and it was a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The pub had a warm and welcoming atmosphere on a chilly January day, and we will definitely be returning. It's great to have such a well-managed pub nearby.
I made a reservation for a family Boxing Day meal and had a delightful experience with great service. Thank you to everyone involved, especially Simon who was his usual brilliant self.
The atmosphere, staff, and food at this restaurant are fantastic! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The fries are absolutely amazing!
Used to go here when this was still called the Crown really liked it. Went a few days ago with my family ordered a simple Jacket Potato with Prawns in Maryrose Sauce, which was £8.25... very pricey for a Jacket Potatoe, but I figured at the price it would be extra good. Alas no, it was incredibly dry, if there was any butter on it I couldn 't find it, there were about 5 Prawns on it, if that the Sauce was nowhere to be seen. When I asked about the sauce I was told that it was on there! They brought me some sauce which didn 't really help as it was the wateriest Maryrose Sauce I 've ever had! I could make way better at home at a fraction of the cost. At the prices they now charge here you 'd think they could at least hire a Chef that can cook something as simple easy as a Jacket potato. My family weren 't particularly impressed with what they got for the cost either. When I told one of the staff all they said was I 'll tell the chef. Not even an apology. Will not be going here again.
Well, what a transformation! Years ago I used to come here, and enjoy a nice, friendly, family atmosphere until.it was under different management and, to be honest, rapidly went down the pan in my opinion. I stopped going, along with many. Watching the refurbishment and work going into the place, under new management and morphing from.being The Crown, Coleham into The Coleham Tap gave me hope for the.pub anf the community. Last night I ventured forth for my dinner, taking my 30% off mains voucher with me. We hadn't booked and there were obviously groups in, but they warned us of a 30 minute wait for food, which was ok by us. What a transformation, tasteful, clean, well designed interior and decor and, at last, a revamp.for the loos! Once again, the pub had risen, like a phoenix from the ashes to become the vibrant, safe, inviting place it once was. Well done!! The place was buzzing, fire roaring, food very tasty, even better with the 30% off! Will we be back? You bet! Don't forget to put your numberplate details on at the bar!
