The Butchers Arms - Shropshire

Excellent family meal today, staff were lovely, excellent choice of food with great prices for drink and food. Cosy bar with a lovely fire. Very welcoming. Will definitely return.

I used to live in Weston Rhyn for 4 years and I’d never once been to this pub, moved out and tried it for the first time last night, and honestly it was one of the nicest meals I’ve had! We had a lovely friends night out and all had 3 courses and it was so cheap!! I had vegetable soup to start and I wasn’t sure what to expect… nicest vegetable soup I think I’ve ever tasted, it was so creamy, I could have easily eaten it for started, main and desert. I had the hanging halloumi for main, that was really nice, not too salty like some halloumi, and the chips were perfectly cooked, I even ate the salad on the hanging!! Then I finished with a trillionaire tart, beautiful!! Their menu has such a wide variety of mains and desserts. I even loved the fact they had a Korma for a curry choice, as not many places do that! A really really homely family run pub, hidden away that I would recommend to anyone!!

Wow. What a lovely meal we just had. Great service, great food, friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Prices well below what we expected. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon.

My family have tried and tested a varied range of options on their menu all giving excellent value for money that is hard to beat. A great traditional, family run pub with roaring log fires in the cooler months both in the bar and restaurant.

Daughter had recently visited the Butchers and recommended that we should give it a try. We are always looking for Sunday lunch venues in the area and had never been here. Very reasonably priced menus with a selection of 1,2 or three courses. Portions were excellent and the food was piping hot. We also went for a sweet there is a large selection to chose from so should appeal to all. We had booked for 4 o clock and all the other tables were full a sure sign of the popularity for their meals. We will certainly call again.
