There’s an issue with consistency. I had a great pizza from Calabria one day, the next week it was totally different. When the owner isn’t there, the pizza is not the same. Soon as I walked in I could see it wasn’t the same and it wasn’t. Very disappointed. But if the owner is making the pizza that’s a different story. The difference was night and day unfortunately. To be clear, I have only stopped in for a slices during lunch. The House pizza is very good, thin crispy crust with no flop, and a good cheese/sauce ratio. Tangy. The sauce is wet (as opposed to gummy and pasty) and tastes like fresh tomatoes. House seasoning is minimal, which I like. IMHO, this is the best pizza slice to go in the Yorktown area. Heads up though, the house pies are really just large pies, so a counter slice might be smaller than you expect. Like two? Order three.
Best margarita pie in the area. Love that they're consistent. We've even tried other establishments and always come back. Chicken parm is always fresh.
They make very good pizza. It's hard to get 5 stars in New York for pizza. But I get off the highway for this place. ?
