As brekky as a truck stop. tried 7 different courts.all hit minimal acceptable quality. will not replace a nice diner

Fantastic little gem of a restaurant, perfect stop on the way to or from sleeping huge province park.

Karen's restaurant is now only open seasonally and has recently reduced its operating days. It is recommended to call before visiting. The food is fresh and authentic, and also delicious and amazing. The outdoor deck overlooks a lake, providing a relaxing atmosphere. Welcome to Karen's!

To reach Karen's Kitchen, located just a few kilometers from the road, turn right at Pass Lake and drive through the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Once there, grab a seat outside with a view of the sea and prepare to be amazed. I highly recommend trying the house salad, curry croissant chicken sandwich, and white chocolate lemon torte - all of which have received rave reviews over the years. The service at Karen's Kitchen is top-notch, with friendly waitstaff who are always ready with a joke or two. It's worth noting that today, there are no restaurants open in Silver Islet, but Karen's Kitchen is open on Thursdays from 12 noon until early evening.

We had an early dinner here after hiking around Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. This is a hidden gem, for sure! The restaurant is small but very special. They have lots of homemade goodies including savory strudels! We tried the Chicken and Broccoli and the Bacon... Mushroom strudels and they were yummy! We didn't have room for dessert but their desserts looked amazing! Be sure to get there early as they close early! Everything on the menu is reasonably priced. I loved the decor: each table had gingham tablecloths and different salt and pepper shakers! So cute. Also, lots of fun signs and decorations all around the restaurant.
