It's their version of a Chicago beef sandwich. Melted cheese on a toasted bun and dipping sauce on the side and the broccoli soup was to water down no flavor. For the 21 something I spend I could of gone to Portillo's and gotten a real beef sandwich and Panera Bread for broccoli soup and still come out saving money. Would I come back. No.
Lots of space with a modern deli setup. You order as you walk in and they bring it to your table. There's also a salad bar. Prices are reasonable. My eyes ended up settling on the chicken salad sandwich and seafood gumbo. The food was on my table in the few minutes I went to the bathroom. The chips that came with the sandwich look to be plain ruffles which is a nice touch and makes the combos addicting (I'm also tired of all of the terrible homemade chips that plague the city. A very simple chicken salad recipe that is surprisingly good. They even toast the bread which you almost never see for chicken or tuna salad sandwiches. The bits of pineapple give a nice sweetness to it without the need to add a bunch of sugar. The seafood gumbo you can tell they didn't bother heating up. The lukewarm soup was filled with gelatinous chunks. There is a scoop of cilantro rice in the middle to give contrast. Bits of shrimp and sausage float about, but not enough protein for my liking. There's a decent kick to it in every spoonful yet it feels like it's missing something.Overall, I would say I'm a fan of the place. It's hard to find places that do chicken or tuna salad justice and not just push bland disappointment to the masses. Vegetarian options: Lots of salads and even a salad bar Parking: Large mall parking lot Kid-friendliness: Casual place with tables for families Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance and parking
So, I've been hitting up Jason's Deli through Doordash quite a bit, and they've always been on point. Today, though, I decided to go full on adventure mode and actually drove down to the South Loop to pick up my order. Best decision ever!Walked in, and everyone was just vibing super friendly and made me feel like I was crashing a happy party. Shoutout to the good night's rest that probably pushed me to share my positivity with the world. Now, let's talk sandwiches Reuben THE Great and The New York Yankee. For all you meat lovers and sandwich fanatics, Jason's Deli doesn't mess around. The Reuben was legit, and The New York Yankee took me to a whole new sandwich dimension. I'm pretty sure the amount of beef they slap on these things should be illegal it's that crazy!Everything was fresh as can be, and I'm already plotting when I can get my hands on another one.So, if you're into good vibes and even better sandwiches, hit up Jason's Deli. Whether you're Doordashing or making the trip, you won't be disappointed. Seriously, can't recommend it enough!Big thanks to the awesome crew at Jason's Deli for keeping my sandwich game strong.
Great service from Demetrios. The soups taste really good.
I've ordered from this restaurant couple of times and every time the food was delicious and fresh and hot.
