The place itself is very nice, the staff were kind and attentive but the food was very underwhelming. The pork dumplings were decent without blowing me away, my hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour and my beef main course really lacked in flavour and was very greasy. Nice location in the peninsula hotel. Has nice relaxed ambience. Food was very light and elegant. Service and staff pleasant and excellent
We’re no strangers to fine dining, and no strangers to great street corner Chinatown restaurants. This was neither. Two stars only because the atmosphere was outstanding. Server was sweet, and attentive. But this is a restaurant priced as if it had a Michelin star and yet far-from delivers on that promise. I was so pleased by the dim sum and the ambiance. However, they showed completely booked out on open table for two weeks. They did let us walk in and seated us right away.
