Our party paid over $500 (for a 1 hour reservation) only to find out it wasn’t really curling; no ice, no brooms, curling stones have cheap wheels on the bottom. Our reservation came with a free cocktail but even that couldn’t make up for the disappointment. By the end of the hour we all felt a little scammed, not worth it at all.
Service was absolutely terrible and the food was no better, bland and uninspired. This place is just about the view.
We were there as a group of 8 or so got one round of drinks. We were charged a 20% service fee then tipped 30% on top of that. When we realized the mistake we asked the hotel to correct it they have not. I get the service fee- that’s fine, but to make it unclear on the bill then not correct the mistake when asked.
The policy must be to automatically add a gratuity to parties of a certain size, but I saw no notification of this on the menu, check or otherwise. I tipped 30% the 20% they took automatically. I understand why establishments add gratuity automatically for large groups but it should be obvious, not discreet. It makes it seem like they're intentionally trying to confuse people.
-Good ambience and outside seating had firepits that were really nice — drinks were tasty but a little overpriced — Views are average — Not the best value for money
