While we were enjoying our meal in a booth next to a larger party, we overheard them discover a hair in one of the dishes served to them. This clear lapse in food hygiene is utterly unacceptable for any restaurant. What escalated the situation was the server's reaction when the affected table expressed their concerns, which we also shared. Instead of apologizing or addressing the issue promptly, the server responded with shockingly abusive remarks. Such unprofessional behavior is appalling; no customer should have to endure disrespect, especially at a supposedly reputable establishment. To make matters worse, the management's handling of the situation was just as disappointing. Despite the clear issue of food contamination, they stubbornly refused to remove the affected meal from the bill and were initially unwilling to let the patrons speak with a manager. It was astonishing to see them ignore the upset caused by their negligence and insist on charging for a dish that should have never been served. After a lengthy 20-minute debate, they finally agreed to remove the charge, but it was an entirely unnecessary hassle that showed a lack of concern for customer relationships. Overall, our experience was one of disgust and deep disappointment. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but at Spitfire Grill, it felt more like a nightmare. The hygiene issues, the rude behavior from the server, and the management's failure to rectify the situation left us with a bad taste—both literally and figuratively. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to reassess their standards and prioritize customer satisfaction and basic hygiene practices. We came with high expectations and were left entirely let down by the poor service and disregard for customer welfare. We refrained from raising our concerns during our visit to avoid being subjected to the same disrespect shown to the other patrons.

We made a last-minute decision to stop by for a quick snack. It was our first time visiting, although I'd heard great things about it. I ordered the clam chowder, which I absolutely loved, while my husband chose the burger, and he had no complaints either! We're definitely planning to return the next time we're in Victoria.

I've been to the Spitfire Grill several times, and each visit has left me satisfied. The portions are generous, and the food is delicious. My wife and I shared a meatloaf dish, which was more than enough for both of us. The mashed potatoes, made from real potatoes, were delightful—so creamy they practically melted in my mouth and topped with a rich, beefy gravy. The meatloaf took me back to my mom's Sunday dinners. Our server was attentive, clearly explaining the menu options and checking in on us multiple times. Overall, we had a wonderful evening and look forward to returning for another enjoyable meal soon. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great location with good food and great prices. Burger and Fish and chips were very tasty. Friendly staff.

We were seated right away, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and polite.The food was good and hot and was delivered in a timely manner.They have a special each day and my husband had the Monday Meatloaf and he was very pleased.
